We're officially excited

You may have noticed that Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem recently made it into my "10 must see movies of 2008". Slotting into the top 10 list at #9, I stated "Aliens vs Predator was an average movie, it didn't quite live up to expectations but yet we still found ourselves enjoying seeing Aliens and Predators on screen at the same time. Early next year, we get to see them again and though we're still dubious about the movie as a whole, a Predalien hybrid species is enough to get this flick on our list."

Well, today AvP:R could be climbing into the top 5! Yahoo Movies UK have released the first 5 minutes of the forthcoming movie for our viewing pleasure. Though the quality of the stream is quite frankly appalling, the content is everything but. I'm not entirely sure how much this clip will be edited before release but the triumphant score from James Horner and Silvestre's brilliant theme play throughout, making the first 5 minutes truly stand out.

Admittedly, I've still got my doubts but each time we get a sneak peak at AvP:R, I can't help but get more excited. Check out the preview by clicking here and share your excitement, or indeed doubts, in our forums.

Looks much, much better than the original.
Didn't expect this to be worth seeing, after the 1st one. But it looks quite good from the preview.
If anyone tracks down a HD version of the clip, be sure to post a link please as I'd like to see a better quality version.
Is it just me or does anyone else wish someone would do a remake of the PC game using one of the new engines out there? It was the alst PC game to really scare me
I found myself enjoying the first film quite alot - certainly more than most people seemed to report, and this one looks great!
I do wonder whether there is something of a ‘fan-factor’ going on with me, in that because i really want to enjoy it and love the concepts, i'm willing to overlook some dodgy directorial stuff…
God knows i do that enough with Star Trek.

Edit:

Totally!
