The Microsoft Outlook add-on that offers effortless email management

I'd go as far as to say that you can't get much better than Microsoft Outlook when it comes to e-mail management, it really is the cream of the crop.

That however hasn't stopped the folk at Xobni (which if you hadn't realised is inbox spelt backward) as they've come up with a free add-on for Microsoft's e-mail powerhouse called Xobni Insight.

So, how does Xobni Insight improve on an already stellar application? Well, it adds quite a few tasty features, my favourites are: e-mail analytics, phone number extraction, threaded conversations and the Xobni sidebar. For essentially a free add-on, Xobni achieves quite a bit and you'll find the following video gives a good overview of what Xobni has on offer.

Other than its useful features, it sure makes Outlook look pretty too.

Xobni Insight's current beta is available via invitation only, but not to worry, the very kind chaps at Xobni have served up 50 beta invitations for HEXUS readers.

The invitations are strictly first come first served and with 50 up for grabs, you may need to act fast. All you need to do is head on over to the official download page, enter the code "hexus" and you'll be good to go.

Once you're part of the beta, you should then be able to invite friends to try it for themselves. If you miss out on the 50 invitations, keep an eye on the HEXUS forums where I'm sure users will be happy to trade invitations with one another. Enjoy!

I'm finding the threaded conversations feature to be very useful indeed. :)
