This one's for those who simply love to touch

Another device fresh out of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is Samsung's G400. What makes this one special is that it has not one, but two touch screens! Nokia didn't even take the time to include one touch screen in its new monster, the N96, and why Samsung would want two touch screens in one handset is anybody's guess.

Samsung G400

The marketing slogan for Samsung's G400 is "Dual Touch Chic" and it means precisely that, dual touch screens in a chic handset. One touch screen resides on the front of the phone, as seen in the image above, and the other touch screen is revealed when the handset is opened. The G400 measures in at 102.8 x 51.5 x 15.4mm when folded, which is about normal for a foldable phone and as with all phones that take a folding approach, it becomes unfortunately enormous when you flip it open.

In a change of aesthetics for Samsung, the G400 comes with an all-metal casing which does look the part. Other than that, the spec is largely the same as Samsung's other high-end handsets. The G400 packs a 2.2" screen, 5 megapixel camera, 100MB of storage and a microSD expansion slot.

So, answers on a post card please; do we really need two touch screens in one handset? My answer would have to be no.
