An Adventure Beyond the Ordinar-E

An air of expectancy surrounds any release from Pixar Animation Studios, and 2008's sci-fi romance, Wall-E, is no exception.

Throughout the course of the year, we've been provided with a series of teaser trailers that introduced the world to the adorably cute robot that is Wall-E, and suitably large doses of hype have followed. So much so, that we'd listed Wall-E as our fourth must-see movie of 2008.

The plot, based in the non-too distant future, revolves around the theory of mankind, governed by an all-ruling multi-national corporation, being forced to evacuate the earth after literally trashing it and making it uninhabitable.

Earth is left in the hands of waste allocation load lifting robots, earth class (i.e. Wall-E), whose purpose is to clean up our mess. Some 700 years later, only one Wall-E remains and he's become somewhat lonely. That is, until an Extraterrestrial Vegetation Examiner arrives from outer space and Wall-E embarks on adventure he'll never forget.
