Plantronics has today launched its Voyager PRO Bluetooth headset, successor to the well-received Voyager 520.

The all-new Voyager PRO, pictured below, features Plantronics' next generation AudioIQ2 digital signal processing technology and promises "unparallelled sound quality".

Using dual 3mm microphones and AudioIQ2's noise-deciphering algorithms, the Voyager PRO touts improved noise and wind cancellation, and a full-spectrum speaker promises to provide "unmatched inbound audio quality", too.

Plantronics is quoting up to six hours of talk time from a single charge of the headset's 3.5V Lithium-ion battery, and up to five days of standby operation.

The headset is available now priced at Ā£79.99, and a demo video - with audio recorded on the headset itself - can be viewed over at YouTube.com.

Liking the 5 days of standby time, but I hate the look of the little mic. Not enough to make me stop using my Jawbone headset.
I've been using the Voyager Pro for a couple of weeks now, I reckon it's the best headset I've ever had in terms of sound quality and comfort. I can't comment about the talk time length as I don't spend my life with a stopwatch, but it's not a problem as there were 3 chargers in the box, USB, mains and in-car.
I cracked and ordered one today. hopefully it'll be up to voice comms for gaming as well as general mobile use.
Hmm… initial impressions are that while comfortable the claims of noise cancellation particularly in a windy environment are… a little optimistic. Light breeze results in almost inaudible voice.

I'll persevere and see how I get on with it.
