Research conducted by web-security firm McAfee has named Katie "Jordan" Price as Britain's "most dangerous celebrity in cyberspace".

As part of its research, McAfee used popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo! to determine the risks involved in clicking onto celebrity websites. When searching for Katie Price, it found that one in six sites could contain malware designed to infect the end user's PC.

Unsurprisingly, the research found that current A-list celebs are being targetted by cyber criminals as a means to catch out web users hoping to find the latest gossip. McAfee's data warns that over 16 per cent of Jordan-related websites pose some form of risk, and celebrity couple Victoria and David Beckham are almost as dangerous, scording 13.6 and 12.1 per cent, respectively.

Greg Day, McAfee's principal security analyst, said: "A quick flick across the front pages of the latest popular newspapers and magazines offers a fairly reliable snapshot of where the criminals will focus their efforts next."

McAfee lists the top ten dangerous celebrities for the UK and the US as follows. If you happen to search for any of the following on a regular basis, McAfee recommends its freeware SiteAdvisor software.

So googling for a seedy celeb, whose fan base is mostly semi-vacant tabloid readers (read easy targets), results in a deluge of malware…

Never have guessed would you!
Wow. So she does have a use in this world after all.

So it's official, the US has better taste in women? ;)
