Virgin Media has continued its gradual roll out of high-definition TV channels by announcing that Living HD will launch exclusively on its TV platform on October 6th.

Living HD will become Virgin Media's seventh high-definition channel, alongside HD services from the BBC, Channel 4, ESPN, FX, MTV and National Geographic. The company's TV platform also offers high-definition on-demand content, including shows on BBC iPlayer.

According to Virgin Media, Living is "one of the UK's most-watched digital TV channels" and is home to shows such as Next Top Model, Four Weddings, and Most Haunted. Living HD will also air recently-acquired programmes including Ghost Whisperer, Private Practice, Boston Legal and CSI Vegas.

Living HD will be offered at no additional charge to subscribers of Virgin Media's XL TV package.
