Orange has today confirmed recent speculation by announcing that it will offer Apple's wildly-popular iPhone handset on pay monthly or pay as you go plans as of Tuesday November 10th.
The launch will kick off at 7am at select Orange stores across the country, and Apple's iPhone will also be available via the Orange website, telesales channels, Apple retail stores, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U.
Shedding light on what consumers can expect to pay for Apple's premium handset, Orange has revealed that the latest model - the iPhone 3GS - will be available for free on pay monthly plans charged at £45 per month, on a 24-month contract. Pay as you go customers, meanwhile, can pick up the iPhone 3GS starting from £440.

With Orange set to bring O2's iPhone exclusivity to an end in just over a week, consumers hoping for a price war may be left disappointed. Although Orange price plans are competitive when compared to O2's current offerings, Apple's handset remains a premium choice.
Pay monthly consumers face lengthy minimum contracts, with the cheapest iPhone 3GS plan - offering 150 minutes, 250 texts, and 750MB of mobile internet browsing - costing a total of £712.98 over an 18-month period. A detailed list of Orange's iPhone price plans is available below.

You're not the only one ..... at those prices, so are Orange. :D
And Apple :)Quote
Exactly, Data usage unlimited, which lower down then limits data usage to 750mb a month, so the unlimited usage is limited with a actual specified limit !!!
its not limitied to 750mb - they will just monitor usage over the 750mb/month. They havent said they will charge for going over the 'limit', so im not too bothered - yet.
If Orange said it was limited to 750mb a month, then they can charge for going over it... i thinkQuote

Source? The Orange website (http://interest.orange.co.uk/#iPhonePAYM) clearly states 750mb fair usage limit, nothing about 'monitoring' and although it shows no extra charges that can easily just be their standard data rates thereafter.
I think they'll have to raise that limit for a lot of possible buyers to take it seriously. Their only strength is the 3G coverage and that only means you'll eat up 750mb even faster! O2 will, I'm sure, be touting their unlimited policy when the battle commences.Quote
Mobile Internet browsing does not include event charges such as for ringtones or games (transport costs for these events are included). *Fair Usage policy of 750MB applies. Usage above this amount will constitute abuse and Orange may monitor usage*, apply Network protection controls which may result in reduced speed of transmission and/or withdraw the Offer from your account if the fair usage policy is abused.
plus im mostly going to be using the wifi for data from home/work, so i hope not to really need 750mb+ on the road... not every month anywaysQuote
