EGHAM (29 November, 2005) – Jabra, a leading brand of hands-free communication products for the mobile consumer market, today announced the shipment of its Jabra JX10 designer Bluetooth headset. Created especially by world-renowned Danish design company Jacob Jensen, the Jabra JX10 sets a new standard in Bluetooth headset design. Its distinctive minimalist shape, elegant finish and modern Bluetooth technology make it one of the most stylish Bluetooth headsets available.

Available in a timeless silver colour, the Jabra JX10 offers the ultimate in headset design and functionality combining both style and intelligence into a compact Bluetooth headset. The Jabra JX10 is among the smallest and lightest headsets in the industry. It weighs less than 10 grams (one ounce) and measures less than four centimetres (one and a half inches) in length. Fitting securely either with or without the thin and discreet ear-hook, users will barely notice they are wearing it.

“The Jabra JX10 lives up to our three main design philosophies that form should follow feelings, the noise should be taken out of technology, and that every product should have a feel of magic about it. When people put on the Jabra JX10 they will feel as though they are putting on a piece of jewellery, not just a Bluetooth headset,” said Timothy Jacob Jensen, chief designer, Jacob Jensen Design.

“No longer seen as niche, Bluetooth mobile headsets are now experiencing mass market acceptance with consumers seeking headsets that go beyond functionality and act as an enhancement to their own appearance,” said Andrew Doyle, country manager, Jabra UK & Ireland. “We have already had fantastic feedback from our partners in the industry and are confident that the Jabra JX10 will boost the popularity and adoption of Bluetooth headsets even further.”

Attention to detail was paramount in creating a perfect design for the Jabra JX10. Pairing to a user’s mobile phone is simple by the use of a one-touch button for convenient connectivity. Mobile phone calls can be voice-activated, answered and ended directly from the headset using intuitive controls located on the side of the headset, making them easy to find and operate with the press of a fingertip.

The headset offers exceptional audio quality due to Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, which reduces background noise and ensures crystal clear conversations. Whether being used in a noisy office or a traffic-filled street, the Jabra JX10 assures the best sound and voice clarity possible. The Jabra JX10 compensates for noisy surroundings by automatically adjusting the volume control so that conversations will be heard more clearly.

The Jabra JX10 comes fully equipped with a matching silver desktop charging cradle. For added convenience, the Jabra JX10 also comes with a USB charging cable so that it can be directly charged from a PC or laptop. In addition, the Jabra JX10 has a special carrying case for safe and convenient storage when not in use.
