ATI and Avivo Technology Deliver the Best Visual Experience for Notebook PCs at Every Price Point

ATI Raises the Digital Entertainment Bar for Mainstream and Thin-and-Light Notebooks

MARKHAM, ON/ Munich, Germany – January 5, 2006 – ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced Mobility Radeon X1400 and Mobility Radeon X1300 graphics processorstaking the mainstream and thin-and-light notebook segments to new levels of visual realism, performance and power management. Both Mobility Radeon GPUs feature ATI’s new Avivo technology to deliver the best visual quality to notebooks at every price point available.

Following closely on the heels of Mobility Radeon X1600, Mobility Radeon X1400 and Mobility Radeon X1300 deliver maximum affordability without compromising features and performance. Designed with cutting-edge 90 nanometer (nm) fabrication processes, both GPUs include Shader Model 3.0 support for today’s latest games along with a new multi-threaded 3D architecture for lightning-fast graphics.

Delivering the maximum performance and portability, Mobility Radeon X1400 meets the space savings and low power requirements of today’s thinnest and lightest notebook designs, while Mobility Radeon X1300 rounds out the offering in the mainstream notebook segment.
