DX40 DAB/FM PORTABLE RADIO
Best-selling bargain DAB radio gets new features
London, UK, 3rd November 2006: Pure Digital - a division of Imagination Technologies (LSE:IMG) - presents the Élan DX40, a modern lightweight portable radio that sounds as good as it looks. The radio will be premiered at the What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision show in London from November 3rd 2006.
Created by the world's leading manufacturer of DAB digital radios, Élan DX40's stylish silver finish holds completely new internal electronics using the very latest components for enhanced functionality and performance - all at an affordable price. This new model replaces the original Élan, the one-time best selling low-cost DAB radio, but adds a host of new features such as textSCAN(tm), Intellitext(tm), RDS, USB upgradeability, and support for a rechargeable battery pack.
Élan DX40's textSCAN feature enables users to pause and scroll DAB text, giving them time to note down web addresses or competition phone numbers. Élan DX40 also stores and collates special Intellitext messages* to allow users to view information such as news headlines, sports results, favourite track listings and more at their convenience. Élan DX40 even keeps tracking Intellitext messages when in standby.

In addition to all of these time-saving features, PURE has also made Élan DX40 ChargePAK® ready - the optional ChargePAK charges while connected to the mains, and allows users to listen to their favourite radio stations wherever they want. Élan DX40 provides longer DAB battery life than any previous Élan model.
Other features include 16 presets (DAB or FM); clock and sleep timers; tone or DAB/FM radio alarm; USB upgradeability, to add new features as they become available; and both RDS support for station name display on FM and RDS scrolling text. FM performance has been improved for even better reception.
