SMS, Java, e-mail: this watch has the lot!

Ok, so the Dick Tracey film with Warren Beatty was memorable for just about nothing but long before that, in the superb comic strips, Dick had his communicator watch... and growing up, who didn’t want one of them? Even the ‘Hoff had one to get KIT to come pick him up!

Now we can’t promise that the SMS Technologies M500 will let you call your car to come get you but it will do everything a standard mobile phone does... and it’s all just strapped to your wrist. How damn cool is that?

The M500 has over 80 hours standby time, full SMS functionality, a touch screen, full blue tooth compatibility, support for dial-up-networking, JAVA support, , MP4 Player, 128 Mb Memory,USB connectivity for software uploads, downloads, 199 number memory storage, 40 embedded real tones and the quad band support means you can use it wherever you are in the world as long as you have a GSM sim card.

Okay, cool, maybe…been waiting for this to come along for sooo long…
What I want to know is, how chunky is it? How normal/ridiculous does it look and feel on someone's wrist? Weight is important, I saw that, but dimensions please! SoftBank 708SC (actually made by Samsung) chocolate-bar design mobile phone is 8.4mm thick. How does this one compare in thickness? A photo of it on someone's wrist would help.
User friendly, or something only posers will want actually to try to use every day?
Is it frustratingly slow, or does it respond acceptably?
How is the battery life if you use it a lot?
Strapping a tiny microwave transmitter to one place on your watch arm sounds like a recipe for skin cancer to me. though I have to say that aside it might make me wear a watch again.
