Another handy little MP3-management tool

Cataloguing, organising and tagging your MP3 collection is an arduous task. Particularly when your collection weighs more than a few gigabytes.

Fortunately, there are plenty of handy little tools available to make light work of tasks that default applications like Windows Media Player simply can't handle.

The latest tool, MP3 Check, is a small freeware application that'll run through your entire MP3 collection and let you know of any discrepancies such as missing ID3 tags and insufficient bit rates.

Granted, the app won't fix identified problems on its own, but, you can define third-party tools to carry out such tasks in the options panel.

For such a small application, it's a particularly handy method of quickly identifying any missing metadata you may have overlooked. As the above screenshot shows, it can scan over 10,000 MP3s in under three minutes, and that's pretty good going.
